In a historic visit on August 4, 2025, the Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education, H.E. Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, visited the Somali National Library to discuss its revival and future development.
The Minister was received by Director General Mohamud Mohamed Siad and senior library staff, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the library's progress and strategic plans.

During the tour, the Minister observed:

- Climate-controlled archival facilities
